Come join us! Become a member of the Cape County Gun Club.
Membership in the club provides several benefits. Members pay reduced rates for rounds of trap and skeet. Trained Range Safety Officers have full access to the office, trap and skeet ranges and are free to shoot anytime the Apple Creek Facility is open. The Apple Creek Range is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance. Family memberships are also available.
Members work two days per quarter. Generally, this means one Saturday and one Sunday. We attempt to meet everyone's scheduling requests. Working at the range generally entails opening the trap and skeet houses, greeting shooters, ensuring paperwork is properly filled out, monitoring shooting activites, refilling birds in trap and skeet machines, collecting money for rounds shot, and clean up and close up at the end of the day. Most members take the opportunity to get in a few rounds for themselves.
If you are interested in membership, come out to the range on a weekend. Talk to one of the RSO's and shoot a few rounds with us. Application for membership is made at one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Cape Girardeau Elks Club. Dues are $50 per year, $75 for a family, and a $10 initiation fee. All members must be a current NRA member.
